Description
Dana’s solid cast resin sculptures honors the men and women who labored in the traditional resourced based occupations of Down East Maine. Using area residents as models, Dana creates the original sculpture in clay. A mold is made, then filled with durable high density gypsum polymer resin. After drying and detailing, the pieces are finished to resemble molten bronze castings. Each one varies in tone and patina.
Many of Dana’s sculptures are purchased by families whose parents and grandparents survived doing very hard work in difficult conditions. Each is signed, dated and numbered by the artist, and displays easily on your desk or bookcase.
